The tablet race seems to be gathering some real time pace and now we can even see some really cheap stuff making it to the surface. The latest one is $ 188 CherryPad Android touch tablet.
Cherrypal, manufacturer of CherryPad, deny their product being in any sort of competition against the “mighty” iPad or have any plans to be termed as an “iPad Rip Off”. We already feel a bit uncomfortable with features like resistive display screen, but then, this is what you get for meager bucks you spend.
Here are the specs of Android based CherryPad for your reference:
- Android 2.1 Eclair OS
- 7 Inch Resistive 480 x 800 Resistive Touch Screen [Is there a stylus with the package?]
- 800 MHz Samsung ARM11 Processor
- 3D Acceleration [Really?]
- 256 MB RAM
- 2 GB Internal Storage
- MicroSD Card Slot
- Wi-Fi
- 3G Modem
- USB Port
- 3.5mm Headset Jack
- Google Apps inclusive Of Market
All in all, the tablet seemingly lacks the “Pad” appeal that other same inched tablets possess, but a fully functional Android market might lure some people into buying this. The Cherry pad is on sale now and you can get it for $ 188 only.
